I am an early-career artist based in Kent, England. I started taking private art lessons in my early 30s after a near fifteen-year creative hiatus. During this time, I earned a PhD in psychology and began lecturing at a university.

When studying psychology, you are asked to consider what can be known about people and behaviour, taking into account the means through which your knowledge about them is acquired. This approach is reflected in my surrealist, figurative, acrylic paintings. Characters with ambiguous intent interact in a nightmarish world that blurs the lines between naivety and maturity, comfort and threat, and reality and perception. Each painting is a snapshot in time that could be interpreted differently when viewed in isolation or as part of the collection.
